Life College Hosts ICA's Womens' Night
Life College of Chiropractic hosted the International Chiropractors Association (ICA)'s "Women's Night" on May 14. Organized by student ICA President Teri Gasko, the topics ranged from challenges facing women in chiropractic today, to success principles and how to interest new patients.
The speakers included Dr. Laurie Briegal, Dr. Glenda Dukes, Dr. Martha Schneider, and Dr. Colleen Thum, all Life alumni. Also speaking was Dr. Nell K. Williams, a 1980 ICA "Distinguished Fellow," and ICA special envoy to the profession.
"When I went to school there were no more than five women," said Dr. Williams. "I have taken a lot of criticism but have learned not to take no for an answer. You must believe in what you're doing 100 percent."
