With an increasing percentage of women entering the profession not only as doctors of chiropractic, but also in various other professional capacities, what better time for the launch of an organization dedicated to empowering the women of chiropractic and nurturing leaders within the profession? Enter the League of Chiropractic Women, which calls itself "a voice for all women in chiropractic – DCs, CAs, spouses, students, administrators, teachers and more," and aspires to "intentionally develop, empower and grow a community and a legacy of powerful and innovative women leaders in loving service for chiropractic," while committing to "serve the vitalistic principles of chiropractic as a subluxation focused and drugless profession."
"As a practicing female DC, I have felt that for years the voice of the female spirit has not been really heard. The energy that a woman puts into her practice is different and distinct [from] a man. And because of this deference, I've had a very strong innate desire to create an organization that supports all women that love chiropractic, a place where women can come together in support of each other, no matter where she is in life. And therefore The League of Chiropractic Women was born to fulfill that need."
