National Board Issues Call for Director Nominations

The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) needs you! The board has issued a call for district I, district II and at-large director seats on the NBCE Executive Board. Elections will be held May 7, 2022, with application submission deadlines for doctors of chiropractic interested in a director position of April 22 (at-large director) and May 7 (district I and II director.)

The NBCE board of directors features 11 members: five district directors elected by state delegates, two directors appointed by the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB) and four at-large directors elected by the board. If elected to one of the open positions, your term will begin immediately, with annual elections held thereafter and a term limit for at-large directors of eight years.

Board Members are responsible for determining NBCE policy in human resources, planning, finance, chiropractic community relations, and organization operations. Every board member is expected to:

  • Demonstrate a strong belief and commitment to the NBCE's mission, vision, and values
  • Exhibit high ethical standards and integrity in all board actions in accordance with the mission of the NBCE
  • Advocate for the NBCE
  • Take responsibility and accountability for all decisions made by the board
