About the Columnist

Kim Christensen has been a chiropractic physician for more than 20 years and has developed a national reputation for sports rehabilitation therapies using conservative approaches.

Dr. Christensen graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 1971 and currently serves as director of a sportsmedicine and rehab clinic in the state of Washington. He has taught postgraduate education through Parker College, Palmer West, Logan College, and Northwestern College of Chiropractic, and several other chiropractic institutions.

A regular columnist for Dynamic Chiropractic, Dr. Christensen also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Sports Chiropractic & Rehabilitation and the American Chiropractor. He is widely referenced in texts and peer-reviewed journals, has written over 120 columns in DC and other professional publications, and is the author of several texts, including Clinical Chiropractic Biomechanics and a two-volume series, Chiropractic Rehabilitation.

In 1988, Dr. Christensen was credentialed by the American Chiropractic Association Council on Sports Injuries as a certified chiropractic sports physician. That same year, he founded the Chiropractic Rehabilitation Association (CRA); Currently the postgraduate program director of the 300-hour chiropractic rehabilitation program for Cleveland Chiropractic College of Kansas City and Parker College of Chiropractic, Dr. Christensen was recently appointed to the HCFA Therapy Review Program. He is the only chiropractor in the United States on this government panel.
