About the Columnist
Reed Phillips recently concluded 16 years of service as president of Southern California University of Health Sciences. In his distinguished career, he also has served as research director for the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research, president of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology, and president of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges. Currently, he is is vice president of the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research (FCER), directing, among other things, the foundation's new Evidence-Based Research Center (EB-RC).
Dr. Phillips also chaired the Veterans Affairs Chiropractic Advisory Committee, charged with initiating a "major occupational study" of the chiropractic profession and creating a list of recommendations as to how chiropractic would be incorporated into the VA system.
He has authored countless chapters, monographs and articles, and delivered poster and oral presentations worldwide.
