	San Diego, CA – April 29th, 2015 – ChiroTouch™, the nation’s leader in chiropractic software, urges practitioners be prepared for the October 2015, ICD-10 deadline after Congress passes the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act without any provisions to further delay ICD-10 implementation.
    

    

    
	“Last year around this time Congress voted to delay ICD-10 as part of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act,” said Robert Moberg, CEO of ChiroTouch. “This year’s reauthorization did not include such language, which sends a signal loud and clear to all healthcare professionals – ICD-10 is coming and it’s not going to be delayed.”
    

    

    
	In a landslide 392 to 37 vote, the US House of Representatives recently passed legislation that provides a permanent replacement to the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) that has vexed healthcare providers for more than a decade. The bill, H.R. 2, the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act, did not include any references to ICD-10 implementation or an ICD-10 delay. Two weeks ago, the Senate followed suit, passing the bill in a 92 to 8 vote.
    

    

    
	Healthcare experts agree that practitioners should not expect to see further implementation delays. With the October 1, 2015, implementation deadline a mere six months away, and with no overlap between ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes, it is crucial for practitioners to plan now to ensure they are ready for the challenges the ICD-10 transition is sure to bring.
