Foot Levelers Announces Two International Sponsorships
Foot Levelers has announced sponsorships of both the Federación Latino Americana de Quiropráctica (FLAQ) and the Federation Internationale de Chiropractique du Sport (FICS) to help promote and grow the chiropractic profession globally.
“Partnering with the two groups is important to the growth of the chiropractic profession on a global scale,” comments Foot Levelers VP of International Sales Geoff Miller. “We’re looking forward to building strong relationships with these organizations in 2014, while developing ideas and initiatives aimed at promoting the benefits of chiropractic and conservative pain-management.”
The FLAQ promotes the ‘development of health through chiropractic in Latin America,’ and has been in existence since 1988. In the last year, the FLAQ assisted in the fruition of a third chiropractic program in Mexico (Universidad Veracruzana), saw an increase in chiropractors in Colombia from 8 to 14, welcomed the Puerto Rican and Argentinian Chiropractic Association to the FLAQ family, and celebrated 800 graduates of the two Brazilian chiropractic colleges.
Founded in 1987, FICS strives to help provide chiropractic care to athletes in all sports as an integral part of standard health care protocol. As a part of Foot Levelers’ sponsorship of the FICS, the organization presents an annual scholarship to a qualified chiropractic student. To become eligible, the student must among other tasks compose a short essay on the importance of chiropractic to athletes in training and competition and must also highlight participation in fitness activities and chiropractic organizations.
The winner of the 2013 FICS Foot Levelers scholarship will be announced in early January.
