ChiroTouch,(TM) the world's leader in practice-management software solutions for chiropractors, recently began conducting a series of Webinars to address the complexities of the government's stimulus package. The Webinar places its focus on the stimulus funds as they relate to helping chiropractors move to electronic health records within their practices.
"The government's move to offer financial support to practices that want to migrate to an EHR system represents a phenomenal opportunity for chiropractors," said Robert Moberg, COO of ChiroTouch. "But navigating the complexities of this program can be daunting. And because this opportunity affects our community across the board, we are driven to stay connected to the most recent updates and proactively share our knowledge and research with chiropractors across the country."
The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act was signed into law on Feb. 17, 2009. The health IT component of the bill, the HITECH Act, appropriates $19.2 billion to encourage chiropractors to adopt electronic health records. In effect, the bill pays chiropractors to realize the full benefits of a modern EHR system. The stimulus bill should help provide most chiropractors in the United States with an electronic health record system at ZERO net cost to the practice.
Each month, ChiroTouch hosts a Webinar to fully explain the process by which chiropractors must adhere to in order to be eligible for the stimulus funds. Additionally, with new information being released on a continual basis from the government, the Webinar attendees are kept abreast of the latest changes and news as it relates to the chiropractic community.
Designed from the ground up to maximize efficiencies for virtually every process, ChiroTouch has developed its HIPAA-compliant system to drastically reduce the time it takes to perform tasks that chiropractors are already doing. That gives chiropractors more time to see more patients--resulting in increased referrals, improved efficiencies, and a direct, measurable impact on practice profitability.
"In addition to the stimulus package," added Robert, "Section 179 of the IRS Tax Code offers nearly a $4,600 incentive towards the purchase of ChiroTouch. And, in keeping with the momentum both the stimulus package and the tax rebate is presenting, ChiroTouch is now offering to cover chiropractor's payments for the ChiroTouch System until 2010. This represents the best time in the history of chiropractic to make the switch!"
