ROANOKE, Virginia - Foot Levelers, the world’s leading manufacturer of custom made functional orthotics, has introduced its latest technological innovation to improve the efficacy of its products: MPAX™ Technology. MPAX, pronounced ‘impacts,’ has been designed into functional orthotics to help reduce impact force the Kinetic Chain feels upon heel strike.
MPAX is currently featured as a heel only mid-layer in Foot Levelers’ brand new XP3TM orthotic. Because of its composition, MPAX is soft and flexible when touch or pressed softly, yet firm and shock-absorbent when struck with high force.
When struck with high force, MPAX can absorb up to 90% of the energy created. An open cell design, that is also breathable, MPAX is lightweight and durable. When at rest, or when facing low energy, MPAX is soft to the touch and can be depressed easily.
At high speeds and high energy, the chemical composition of MPAX causes it to ‘freeze’ up, almost like water turning into ice. This protects the Kinetic Chain from the force ‘waves’ that are destructive all the way up to the neck.
When the freezing occurs, a barrier is created between the ground and the body. Impact force can typically create 2.5 times a person’s body weight on heel strike. By introducing MPAX into the XP3, which is designed for highly competitive athletes, Foot Levelers has helped reduce impact force on the entire Kinetic Chain up to 90%.
With impact force reduced up to 90% in their athletic shoes, wearers of any functional orthotic featuring MPAX can perform longer and with improved results. The fatigue and pain that can often be associated with high impact force is greatly reduced.
Foot Levelers, which has long been a leader in Chiropractic innovation, is introducing more functional orthotics featuring MPAX Technology in the near future.
